Passwords FAQ
Please read our passwords FAQ so you can get out the most of our passwords!
1. How does this site working ?
PassDB.com is using an automatic engine to grab passwords from multiple sources on the web. These sources includes other password sites, forums, irc channels, usegroups. We collect the sites in a database, then filter them against are constantly growing blacklist. In the last phase we are checking that a password is still working or not. If it’s working, then we present them for you.
2. How many times are you updating the password list ?
We’re updating in every 15 minutes automatically. This means that we have 96 updates a day!
3. Your passwords are not working! What should i do ?
If a password is not working, it can be caused by many reasons. The first is caused by Internet Explorer.
On February 2nd, 2004, Microsoft released an update to its Internet Explorer web browser that was included in the Windows Auto-Update. This update effectively DISALLOWED THE INCLUSION OF A WEBSITE’S USERNAME AND PASSWORD in the linking URL.
Read the official statement here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=834489
Solutions:
1. From here you can download the registry file, which fixes the problem. Just download, open or double click, then RESTART YOUR BROWSER and VOILA !
2. Do it manually like this:
To disable the new default behavior in Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer, create iexplore.exe and explorer.exe DWORD values in one of the following registry keys and set their value data to 0:
For all users:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_HTTP_USERNAME_PASSWORD_DISABLE
For the current user only:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_HTTP_USERNAME_PASSWORD_DISABLE
3. Solution:
Example of Link to a members area: http://username:password@www.example.com/members/
Clicking on the above URL will now produce an error in new versions of IE.
If you get an error when clicking on the link, then click on the web site address (where you see the link with the username and password). Then delete the username:password combination from the URL so you’ll get a link like this: http://www.example.com/members . Then it will ask for username and password and you can get in to the site by entering this combination manually. (Just look at the error message that you got when you clicked on the link for the fist time because you can see the combination there so you can enter it easily).
4. Use an alternate browser like Firefox or Netscape.
4. Some passwords are still not working ?
Some sites are protected by a method, called referrer-watch. They are monitoring the visitors’ origin and they block access if they find that you came from passdb.com. To avoid this, simply copy the full address of the member’s area by using your right mouse button and click on “Copy Shortcut” or “Copy Web Site Address”, then open a new window and paste (CTRL+V) this information. This way they won’t know where you came from and they won’t block you.
If you still find that a login/password combination is not working, then you should know that passwords often die (stop working) very quickly, and while we update our site in every 15minutes, there will always be a few passwords not working. Please accept our apologies and simply move on.
5. Custom passwords are not working ?
We are using URL protection in the custom passwords section so you have to copy the web site address and paste it into a new window, then REMOVE THE EXCLAMATION MARK after the domain name (.com, .net, etc.) in order to these passes work. (method described above)
6. I cannot see the custom passwords. What should i do ?
First you have to be a registered member and logged in before you can see anything. If the passwords are still not visible then you have to enable javascript in your browser.
To Enable JavaScript in Netscape:
Click the “Edit” drop down menu, then select “Preferences.”
Select the “Advanced” category on the left hand side of the preferences window.
Check mark the box next to “Enable JavaSscript”.
Finally, Click “OK”.
To Enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer:
Click the “Tools” drop down menu, then select “Internet Options.”
Select the “Security” tab.
Click the “Custom Level” button.
Do either 1 or 2 below:
Change the “Reset Custom Settings” drop down menu to “Medium, Medium-low, or Low” and click “OK”.
Scroll down to the “Microsoft VM” & “Java Permissions” section and select the radio button next to any safety level or select “Custom”, and click “OK.”
To Enable JavaScript in AOL:
Click on your START menu in the lower left corner, then choose “Control Panel”.
Click on “Internet Options.”
Then follow the instructions for Internet Explorer above.

Solution #1 says: 1. From here you can download the registry file… Click on the “registry file” and download [url="http://www.passdb.com/userpass.reg">userpass.reg[/url] ! Double click on it and restart your browser.

With respect to the number 4, when simply copy the full address of the member’s area by using your right mouse button and click on “Copy Shortcut” or “Copy Web Site Address”, then open a new window and paste (CTRL+V) this information. This way they won’t know where you came from and they won’t block you.
it is needs the (http://www.anonym.to/?http://member.xxx.com...) so that they do not identify a IP different from the original user? because but they block your entrance, yes or not?
or there is another alternative?

Using anonym.to won’t help you unblock the entrance. It just to avoid your ip address show up in their logs. However it doesn’t mean a lot because the have thousands of ips in their logs so this information is unusable.
The copy/paste method is good for avoiding the referrer information being tracked by the site, you don’t need to use anonym.to with it, but you can use it if you want, it doesn’t matter.

Well, we have a trading script with other sites to track where the traffic come and go. We pay this script with our traffic, but only 1% of our traffic gets redirected. Are you always been redirected every time you click on a link?
Posted by PassDB on 10/20 at 02:06 AM
yes I was, I solved my problem tho so dont worry about me. moding the scrip works eveytime.

Some people recommend to use proxy so they can “hide” themselves, and the password won’t be blocked even more than one people is using.
Pleas teach me how to use proxy, step by step.
Many thanks.

Hamsomlo, to use the proxy is easier, only you search someone webpage [google] writte on the searchbar ‘PROXY SERVERS’ once you find the server list, try.... with someone… after:
Select:
IE--->tools--->Internet Options---->Conections=====>select your default conection=====>configuration===activate the option:’USEA PROXY SERVER’---> copy/paste the IP address and the number port by the PROXY SERVER…
